Legal
Acceptable use policy.
Last updated: 2026-07-01
This is a template pending legal review.
This policy defines the boundaries of acceptable use of the QIOI platform. It exists to protect other customers, the infrastructure providers we rely on, and the public. It is incorporated into the terms of service.
1. No illegal content or activity
You may not use QIOI to store, process, or distribute content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where your instance runs or where we operate, including but not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material — reported to authorities immediately.
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Fraud, phishing, or deception intended to cause harm.
- Malware, ransomware, or tools designed primarily to compromise systems.
2. No abuse of infrastructure
You may not use instances to attack, probe, or degrade other systems, including:
- Denial-of-service attacks or participation in botnets.
- Port scanning or vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own or lack written permission to test.
- Cryptocurrency mining on plans where it degrades shared provider capacity.
- Circumventing plan limits, authentication, or rate limiting.
3. No unsolicited bulk email
Instances may not be used to send unsolicited bulk email (spam). Transactional email to your own users, with working unsubscribe mechanisms where required by law, is permitted.
4. Security testing only with permission
Security research against your own instances is welcome. Testing against QIOI platform systems, other customers, or infrastructure providers requires our prior written permission. Report suspected vulnerabilities to security@qioi.io instead of exploiting them.
5. Responsible AI use
Applications deployed on QIOI that generate content must comply with the usage policies of the model providers you connect. You are responsible for how generated output is used and presented to your own users.
6. Enforcement
We investigate reported violations and may suspend instances immediately where continued operation poses risk to others. Where practicable, we notify you before or promptly after action, and we provide a path to resolve the issue. Repeated or severe violations result in termination under the terms of service. Decisions can be appealed by contacting legal@qioi.io.
